The Festival of Ethical Photography is an annual event held in the old town centre of Lodi by the Gruppo Fotografico Progetto Immagine.
The seventh edition, programmed at the weekends between 8th and 30th October 2016, offers the customary full calendar of exhibitions and events, but also some important innovation intended to reinforce what has always been the mission of the Festival, contained in the subtitle when photography speaks to the conscience.
On the programme are, eighteen exhibitions, two days of portfolio readings, many meetings with photographers and professionals from the industry and guided tours, in addition to the award ceremony of the World.Report Award | Documenting Humanity 2016, the exhibitions of the OFF - Fuori Festival 2016, and much more.
FPmag is once again a media partner and, through this page will tell you about the Festival of Ethical Photography in 2016 from its own point of view.

EXHIBITIONS

Khatereh is 13. She was sexually abused by her uncle, so she decided to run away from home. One week later, a few youths attacked her in a park in Tehran to gang rape her. To save herself, she wounded her arm with a knife. The police officers found her unconscious on the ground. And after treatment, she was transferred to Juvenile Delinquents Correction Centre. She will be released in 2 months and return home. © Sadegh Souri. Mahsa is 17. She falls in love with a boy and intends to marry him, but her father is against the marriage. One day she has an argument with her father, and she and her mother decide to kill the father. Mahsa kills her father with a kitchen knife, and now her brothers are requesting death penalty or lex talionis for her and her mother. © Sadegh Souri

Waiting Girls The work of Sadegh Souri documents the female prison segregation in Iran. It is a high quality reportage that allowed him to win the Short Story Award 2016. This is what he told us during his visit to the Festival of Ethical Photography 2016
