FPmag editorial staff have studied the works presented under the category Crossover of the Young Talents of Image 2015, and have selected as Best Author:

Among the projects nominated at the YToL 2015 under the section Crossover, FPmag editorial staff has decided to nominate Andrea Alfano as Best Author. He has presented a delicate work where he gives life to memories, the memories of the oldest people among Matera's inhabitants. He writes, «When I saw Matera I was captured by the powerful scenography of those agglomerated houses dug out from the stone and I wanted to know their story. The more I entered the Stones, the more the stories seemed to escape me, contaminated by the widespread touristic speculation. I therefore decided to look for the people, who once lived here and they introduced me to their memories, allowing me to understand the past of the city. I have called this work Matáia Óle, like the first name of Matera. In Ancient Greek it means all empty, like the city appears today, inclined towards the emptiness of the tourism speculation».
