Speechless. This is how you remain after the visit to Detour: an atlas of Cortona, Camucia and tourism, and the silence is probably the only way to avoid complaints and lawsuits.
The biggest problem is not so much the photographs as the preparation, if that is how the jumble of images in some way stuck to the walls of a pool hall can be defined. As a whole, it is a result that would really struggle to find space in an oratory in the provinces. It is also difficult to understand what was on the walls as décor as permanent fixtures (and of course we are not referring to the structures related to the use of billiards) and what was part of the exhibition.
I am aware that you could rely on the explanation that the integration was desired, but the criticism is not addressed to the idea as much as to the realisation. Chaos and visual disorganisation dominate everywhere, and the only feeling you get is the desire to get out as soon as possible and return to seeing something decent. That said, I would not make any judgments on the images, it may be that there was a connection, but it was not deducible from the display. Good instead the idea of involving the territory with a dedicated production, but the feeling is that it lacked the necessary coordination in order to make it function effectively in an exhibition process.
The result is complete confusion, where even what possibly had been good, ends up being annihilated by the presentation. Everything must be reworked in view of a repeat show, but to be reviewed from scratch. The only good point: free entry. [ S. I. ]
