Don’t forget me not

It has opened the 16^th September and will remain opened till the 14^th October 2017, the exhibition Don’t forget me not, an event organized and hosted by the Foto Forum gallery of Bozen (Italy).

The exhibition wont, as its principal aim, to inspect the tight relation between photography and memory, passing through different perspectives and approaches to the topic, developed by the authors who are presenting their pictures. Thirteen are, indeed, the photographers that have tuned their attention on this bond: Tina Bauer, Judith Horn, Diana Juneck, Ania Kaszot, Alexander Klang, Irina Kholodna, Gunnar Krüger, Carola Lampe, Patricia Morosan, Melina Papageorgiou, Linn Schröder, Jessica Wolfelsperger and Martina Zaninelli.

Photography has never given up satifying its tasks, the capture of lost moments and the attempt of stopping time. «You cannot delay time, let alone stop it – really?» This is the question from the event’s official Press Release. The goal of the event is, in fact, that of wandering about the possible success of photography in achieving its aims, confering a material shape to memories, unpredictable forms of reality. Could images do it? The questions remain unanswered, and are proposed to the public, part of a contemporary society which is always searching for stability among fleeting life moments. Amina Okuyeva poses for the photo in a flat she shares with her mother and son. She was on Maidan from December 2014 working as a medical volunteer. In that time her husband was in prison accused of the attempt to kill Russian President Putin. After Euromaidan revolution he was pardoned and together with Amina joined international peacekeeping battalion of volunteers to support Ukraine in fighting against the pro-Russian insurgency.
