Fashion and Photography

The House of Chanel will be the guest of honour at the 30th edition of the International Festival of Fashion and Photography at Hyères, taking place between April 23rd and 27th, 2015 at the Villa Noailles, built in the 1920s by the architect Robert Mallet-Stevens for the art patrons Charles and Marie-Laure de Noailles.
The festival – directed by Jean-Pierre Blanc and presided over by Didier Grumbach – annually encourages and supports young artists in the fields of fashion and photography and thanks to the support of the festival’s partners, several prizes will be awarded to the competing young artists. As usual, there will be two separate juries to judge their work: Eric Pfrunder (Image Director at Chanel Fashion) will be the President of the photography jury, while Virginie Viard (Chanel’s Creative Studio Director) will be the President of the fashion jury.
The program of this 30th annual festival – which will see in the role of Artistic Director the fashion designer and photographer Karl Lagerfeld – will be particularly rich and will include meetings with experts of the two sectors involved, award ceremonies, guided tours, fashion shows and several fashion and photography exhibitions, of course. There will be on display works by Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld, Arnold Goron, Lorenzo Vitturi, Kenta Matsushige, Erik Halley, Cécile Bortoletti and Camille Vivier, Thierry Boutemy, Niki Noves, Gio Black Peter, The Formers, Tailor Books and Jogging.

Amina Okuyeva poses for the photo in a flat she shares with her mother and son. She was on Maidan from December 2014 working as a medical volunteer.
