Fermez les yeux et regardez

The exhibition Fermez les yeux et regardez (Close your eyes and look) is a recent photographic project created by the collaboration of photographers Marie-Rose Gilles and Nina Parisi and by the illustrator Sarah Bochaton. Shortly before the exhibition, this year at the Voies Off in Arles, the visually impaired photographer Cedric Poulain joined the adventure.

The photos of the authors are centred on a nude vision that is guided by emotion and by movement. The corporeality in the photos by Marie Rose Gilles and Cedric Poulain is completed with the pleasant images of Nina Parisi enriched by Sarah Bochaton's scented floral watercolours. The aim of the project is to realise an exhibition experience capable of multi-sensory involvement of visitors and therefore also suitable for those who are unable to see.

All visitors are also given the opportunity to explore the exhibition blindfolded so as to be able to see, smell, touch and taste through a guided route by the authors. Fermez les yeux et regardez is a project that, although still in its early stages with regard to the proposed multi-sensory experience, it has been remarkably successful during the festival, a clear demonstration that visitors at the exhibitions want to always do more, than just see. Amina Okuyeva poses for the photo in a flat she shares with her mother and son. She was on Maidan from December 2014 working as a medical volunteer.
