Nowadays the role played by the sponsors in the realisation of cultural events is nothing short of essential. The resources available to organisers depend mostly on the intervention of institutions and private companies. As part of the Festival of Ethical Photography the choice of the companies is not a mere marketing operation, but derives mainly from a precise stance on the topics covered in the exhibitions. This is particularly evident in the case of Fujifilm Italy that for three years sponsors the Thematic Area, traditionally housed in the former Chiesa di San Cristoforo.

In the past three years, the Thematic Area has addressed issues such as The violence on women around the world, Food that kills and The lives of the others demonstrating how Fujifilm Italia does not elude to a concrete commitment to raise the awareness of visitors supporting a fundamental section of the Festival of Ethical Photography. With this year's edition Fujifilm Italia also aimed to further emphasize its presence, making available to Festival visitors their own stand.

The latter, during the weekends of the event, is located in the central piazza Broletto, just across from the ticket office of the Festival, and in addition to giving guidance and illustrative material, allows visitors who request a free trial of the cameras and lenses by the Japanese house. In addition to this initiative that is enjoying great success among the public, Fujifilm Italia this year is also in the programme of meetings that animate the event. In the second weekend, Massimo Vaghi held an interesting seminar entitled Technology at the photographer's service, during which were discussed the issues concerning the evolution and the progress of technology in the field of photography and video. A meeting that has aroused much interest in the public agreed with a heated final debate in which Vaghi had to satisfy the curiosity of those present that with their constant questions, forced the organisers to start the following appointments a little late.

To further underline its commitment to promoting photography, Fujifilm Italia promotes a second meeting to be held Saturday 29th October 2016 at 17.00, once again at the Sala Granata at the Laudense Library in via Solferino 72 in Lodi. The title is Fujifilm X-Photographers, a reflection on photography and on its narrative and inquisitive force and will see as protagonists Maurizio Faraboni (photojournalist), Angelo Ferrillo (street photographer) and Simone Raso (sports photographer). These three Fujifilm X-Photographers will compete with each other and with the public on their work and on their photographic vision, focusing on the value of the expressive power of the image.
