A meeting with Hélène Joye-Cagnard

FPmag met Hélène Joye-Cagnard, director of the Journées Photographiques de Bienne/Bieler Fototage, who explained the nature of the choices made for this nineteenth edition of the event. A pleasant meeting in which was underlined the values of promoting emerging photographers at the origin of this cultural event which every year attracts photography enthusiasts and scholars to the Swiss city from around the world.

Amina Okuyeva poses for the photo in a flat she shares with her mother and son. She was on Maidan from December 2014 working as a medical volunteer. In that time her husband was in prison accused of the attempt to kill Russian President Putin.
