Les Nuits Photographiques: call for entries

The 5th edition of Les Nuits Photographiques will take place in Le pavillon Carré de Baudouin, Paris 20th district, from 17 September to 12 December 2015. This year's edition includes three evenings of outdoor screenings of pictures in motion, on giant screens in the garden of le pavillon Carré de Baudouin 17, 18 and 19 September and the exhibition Where does money go? from 17 September to 12 December, bringing together established and emerging artists.
At 5th edition may participate all amateur or professional artists are invited to apply, regardless of age or nationality. All amateur or professional artists are invited to apply, regardless of age or nationality. The call for applications is open until 1th June 2015. Selected candidates will be notified by mail during July 2015. The prize is open to all works with no genre limitations. The jury is composed by: Pascal Beausse, in charge of the photographic collections for CNAP; Valerie Cazin, Director of Binône Gallery / Paris, Guillaume Chamahian, Director of Les Nuits Photographiques; François Cheval, Director of Musée Nicéphore-Niépce; Lucy Conticello, Photography’s director of M - Le Monde; Nicolas Havette, Director of Le Magasin de Jouets Gallery / Arles; Pauline Martin, Musée de l’Elysée in Lausanne / Switzerland; Patricia Morvan, in charge of cultural projects at Vu Agency; Barbara Polla, Writer / Director of Alanix Forever Gallery / Geneva; Marie-Pierre Subtil, Editor-in-Chief of 6Mois Magazine; Christine Vidal, Assistant Director of Le BAL / Paris; Ericka Weidmann, Editor-in-Chief of L’Oeil de la Photographie; Eric Wokcik, Executive Officer of Short film’s International Festival; Clermont Ferrand, France; Barbara Wolffer, Head of the Department of Arts in the City / Paris City Hall / Department of Cultural Affairs.
For each work presented participants must pay a registration fee of 18,00 via Paypal at the following link: www.lesnuitsphotographiques.com. Work will be chosen based on the originality of the artist’s vision and the creativity of their photo-film. Maximum length: 30 minutes. Each work selected will be considered for all available prizes. The prizes are the Nuits Photographiques Award (1500,00 €) and the Special Prize from Œil de la Photographie (1.000,00 €)

Amina Okuyeva poses for the photo in a flat she shares with her mother and son. She was on Maidan from December 2014 working as a medical volunteer. In that time her husband was in prison accused of the attempt to kill Russian President Putin. After Euromaidan revolution he was pardoned and together with Amina joined international peacekeeping battalion of volunteers to support Ukraine in fighting against the pro-Russian insurgency.
