Light, to say the least is a work by Italian photographer Raffaele Fasiello about two concepts: lightness and heaviness. Apparently, one is the antithesis of the other but in reality they coexist and meet when people fall in love. In fact, only love can makes us feel light as if we were leaves floating in the air or surprise us in a deadlock. Therefore, when the soul is laid bare, it goes through light and shade, excitement and pain, celebrating lightness, reaching out to this emotional state and constantly trying to interiorize it.
«My work is based on my memories: people I met and my life experiences – said Raffaele Fasiello – An identification between art and life. Researching the bare truth without censorship, in a damned, underground and contemporary world. Investigating the existence through my different states of mind, honoring those who come into my life. People like me who are seeking a common ground, a universal state of mind».
Light, to say the least will be exhibited in the context of Fotoleggendo 2015. The exhibition will be inaugurated at Microprisma Gallery in Rome on Monday, June 8 at 6.30 pm.
