Exceptional teachers

On the sidelines of this outstanding exhibition programme proposed by Photolux Festival 2015 (see links for further information at the bottom of the page), appear numerous side events that will unfold throughout the period covered by the event, focusing mainly on the weekend of 28th and 29th November 2015. On the calendar, evenings, Portfolio reviews, contests, awards and the so-called Leica Talk, a series of meetings with photographers and experts in the industry of international fame, such as Paolo Pellegrin, Magnum Photos photographer, Lars Boering (Director of World Press Photo), Lorenza Bravetta (Director of Camera. Centro Italiano per la Fotografia, Turin) and Inas Fayed (Director of Leica Fotografie International). The programme includes numerous workshops conducted by professionals and teachers of photography, which will offer students the possibility to explore different themes, to expand their knowledge and skills, as well as to refine their technical and expressive abilities. Amina Okuyeva poses for the photo in a flat she shares with her mother and son. She was on Maidan from December 2014 working as a medical volunteer. In that time her husband was in prison accused of the attempt to kill Russian President Putin. After Euromaidan revolution he was pardoned and together with Amina joined international peacekeeping battalion of volunteers to support Ukraine in fighting against the pro-Russian insurgency.
