Mongolia's Urban Youth

Almost after a quarter of a century from the democratic revolution that ended the communist era, Mongolia is undergoing a major transformation. As is inevitable within a process of the process of such radical change, it is the younger urban generations who have to deal with a deep identity search. The problem is particularly felt in a Mongolia fully launched in the race to globalisation, where roughly half of the population lives in the capital Ulan Bator and over fifty per cent of the total are under thirty years old. «It's all going so fast. We have to remember whom we are – declares Gerelkhuu, a twenty-seven year old artist – and we must be careful not to lose our soul. If you do not know who we are, we do not know where we are going».
Speaking of the exhibition event itself, while the images are certainly appreciable, but above all the Journalistic type of research that supports and precedes them, some doubts arise both with the setting that makes it look slightly sacrificed, and with the print which is chromatically over the top.
