PSPF Blindspot - call for entry 2016

The Perugia Social Photo Fest - Festival of Social and Therapeutic Photography (PSPF) announces the call for entry to its 2016 edition, which will be held in Perugia in March 11th - 28th, 2016 (Palazzo Penna, via Podiani, 11). The selections are open to all those who use photography as a tool of communication, analysis, or reflection. It is possible to participate as individuals and/or organized pairs or groups.
The theme chosen for the PSPF 2016 and, therefore, for this call for entry is Blindspot, considered in its broadest sense. In order to participate you just fill out the form available here and submit your photographic project following the methods described in the guidelines. The number of photos to be submitted shall range from a minimum of 10 to a maximum of 20. There are two sections: Social Photography, intended «as a means of exposure and reflection, of redemption of individual and collective identities, of giving voice to “outsiders” and therefore of social inclusion» and Therapeutic Photography, intended «as a means of reactivation of the perception and of the inner personal stimulus, especially where communicative difficulties arise, which starts a process of self-awareness and self-exploration».
All projects submitted will be evaluated by a Committee consisting of the organizers of the Perugia Social Photo Festival, Loredana De Pace (journalist specialized in photography) and Fausto Podavini (photographer). The Committee will select the two best photo projects (one for the Social Photography section and one for the Therapeutic Photography section), which will be printed by PSPF and formally exhibited during the Festival. The winners will also be awarded with the photocamera Fuji X-T10 with XC16-50 mm lens. More information are available here.

Amina Okuyeva poses for the photo in a flat she shares with her mother and son. She was on Maidan from December 2014 working as a medical volunteer.
