The television channel Arte has launched a competition, reserved for EU citizens, to participate in the making of a documentary that will be broadcast on its channel and on Internet, on the occasion of the climate conference (COP21) to be held in Paris at the end of 2015. Operation climat, the title of the documentary, will be made with the best films received by the editors from 47 European countries. Who wishes to participate must produce a short film lasting from one to three minutes with a phone, tablet, digital camera or video camera. The organisation invites you not only to film the places that are considered privileged areas to be preserved, but also to enter and be part of the scene or to film plants, animals or characters that you evaluate important for that particular environment. The competition website also provides some indication about the contents. Participants are invited to indicate where they are and who they are, what are the risks that the chosen place runs, how and when you became aware of the need to do something for the planet. Finally we invite you to send a message to the representatives of the participating states in COP21. Once made, the film must be submitted to YouTube, Vimeo or DailyMotion, before completing the form on the Arte website.
