Tabò Prize 2016

The Cultural Associations Officine Fotografiche Roma and Controchiave present the 8th edition of the Giovanni Tabò Prize for the best portfolio. Established in 2009, this award is dedicated to the memory of the passionate photographer and organizer of FotoLeggendo, who died prematurely at the age of 44 years.
The contest, with no distinction between amateurs and professionals, is reserved for those under the age of 44 years (born after January 1st, 1972). To participate in the selection, just send to Officine Fotografiche Roma, via WeTransfer, a photographic portfolio, consisting of a maximum of 15 low-resolution JPEG files (the long side of 1200/1400 pixels). It is mandatory for all participants to send also the scanning of the participation form properly compiled and signed as well as the scanning of an official identification document stating his/her age and a short biography of the author. A written supplement to the portfolio, named by the work title only, is not required, but recommended, as it may be useful to the Selection Committee during the examination. Only one entry per author will be accepted. All portfolios received on time, in compliance with the rules of the competition, will be screened by a selection jury who will choose two portfolios to be displayed in June at FotoLeggendo 2016. During the two days of Prize FotoLeggendo 2016, experts reviewing the portfolios will award the Giovanni Tabò Prize, consisting of a reward of € 1,500.00, to one of the two exhibited Portfolios. The second place Portfolio will receive a prize of € 300.00 in photographic gear and/or photo books. The award ceremony will be held on Sunday, June 12th, 2016 in Rome, during the festival opening days. More information about the contest is available here.
